He'll eat you cunts for breakfast.

  2. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Teo being picked is fucked.

  3. Ged GEC King

Wally just announced that Slater's out and GI would be fullback. I'm relieved we won't have to deal with Slater's shit cunt moments.

I swear Mal Meninga reads my posts on this forum, if Te'o loses the game for us send me all your hate mail.

    Bring it on cunts!

I don't particularly like Te'o as a player. His defence is pus. But in all honesty I don't really care that he's there over Taylor (if he is). I wouldn't have picked him but Taylor has been absolute garbage tbh. I wanted him dropped before this series. Te'o on the bench is nowhere near as bad a selection as Taylor starting. Not even close. That selection more than any other cost us Game 2. It was one of the worst selection mistakes from Meninga and the QRL.

I can understand why they're picking Te'o. He's not a starting player's arsehole but he's not a bad impact player. He could potentially lose us the game with his defence but then, so could Taylor whose defence is equally horrendous. It's no different than NSW picking Tony Williams so I don't know why people are fine with his selection but laughing/crying about Te'o.

Very strong side. There's no reason why we shouldn't win with that line-up. I'm particularly excited about Inglis at fullback. There is still a core of people who watched him from his time at Norths and maintain that it's his best position. We've seen it at club level, now it's his turn at rep level. Very happy they at least got that right and didn't pick Bowen or Barba. Harrison will be missed for sure but I'm confident that Parker will do the job that Taylor couldn't.

Dude, you need to give this McGuire shit a rest. I'm serious. Us picking 5 props is much more absurd.

I'm prepared to go on the record and say that Te'o will have a cracker of a game if picked, although he will give one penalty away or make one error.

Re. MF's post re passion whilst building up to origin I constantly get flamed by my mates for cheering when a QLD player goes down injured who doesn't play for souths e.g if Slater/Smith/Thurston/Hodges etc. go down during a club match pre Origin game 3 I sit there hoping for a fucked ACL etc. and Origin is probably the only level of footy where if we lose i'm genuinely depressed, even if it is only for a an hour or two after the match. The only win that matters more from me from a supporters point of view more than winning an origin decider would be a premiership win by Souths. That would be a loose few days when/if that comes around

Also I rate Te'o also. Great replacement for DT afaic. He's on less coin than Taylor wanted to stay with us and he provides similar style of play with albeit slightly less damaging running but the amouint of times I see Taylor turn the ball over after making a gun run trying to push an offload etc. whereas from what I've seen of Te'o he's more likely to fight foir a quick play the ball after he punches half his head through which is gold when you have Issac Luke picking the ball up fom dummy half.

I appreciate your candour Benny. I don't particularly like the idea of sitting there wishing an ACL injury upon a player but I'd be lying if I didn't say I sometimes feel relieved or slightly uplifted when a good player from the opposition is ruled out.

I'm not fine with the Williams selection though.

  13. Cribbage RG Cribb

Yeah; there's a difference between wishing injury upon a player and being glad when it happens. I did sit there watching Cows games hoping Thurston gets injured but if he did, I'd be stoked. Not really proud of that, but it's true.

I don't want them badly injured, Liked broken bones, knee reco's etc. But I'm all for slightly torn hammy that sidelines them for 2-3 weeks.

Nor am I. Everyone else seems to be, though. Same with Watmough. They're destructive runners but they're all liable to cost their side the game with disgraceful defensive lapses, or lack of work in said area. Te'o isn't a major concern for me. I just don't think he'll play very many minutes. As long as he holds the ball and completes tackles, I don't really give a fuck. Hopefully he'll provide a bit of hitting and strong running for his 20-25 minutes.

I'm so over fretting about player selections, let alone about the cunt who wears no.17. I'd rather not worry about it and just hope the actual footballers in our side (Smith, Thurston, Civoniceva etc.) turn up.

  16. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

I can't think of a 'star' NSW player to be injured. Possibly only Gallen. If one of the current NSW players got injured, there is a 90% chance that would make the team better.

  17. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    I'll smash you, cunt.

  18. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

I think Te'o is perfect for that 20-25 minute stint, hits like a freight train, runs hard etc. If he was getting put in the team to be playing 50mins+ then I'd get the complaining.

Personally I think having Watmough and Williams both their isn't the best call balance wise. I can at least appreciate what they bring to the side and what Stuarts idea is (not that I agree with it). Creagh on the other hand has been hopeless this series, he's soft and lazy. The amount of times the cunt makes a tackle and makes no effort to get to marker is ridiculous. Also seems to be offside for an entire set from time to time.

You're right about fretting over player selections, there's not much we can do about it and it's been shown that we don't always know everything (eg Tim Grant being good and angryface).

Am I the only p;erson on here that rates Creagh? I reckon he doesn a good job, considering that Stuart forces him into the middle third to play like an extra prop when he's really a hole running second rower whos main string to his bow is the ability to create a roll on with quick play the balls. The problem is IMO that Ricky is looking for those same quick play the balls in the middle third late in the halves to give Farah a chance to run from dummy half, draw defenders and distribute on a roll the problem is instead of being able to dominate FG standard centres/2nd rowers and get boddy position on the ground for the play the ball he gets pumped and worked over by some of the best props in the game.

It's not really his fault as he's being used incorrectly IMO.

  20. Cribbage RG Cribb

I don't really think Creagh is that bad overall - based on his club performances and my perception of his ability he's an Origin standard player. However, his Origin performances have been terrible. Yes, but he's used in a silly role a lot of the time, but he's been picked to play that same role which he is awful at yet again which is the problem - Creagh is probably going to be fucking poor, yet again. He has had stints in his preferred role on the left as well and he's been almost as poor there, too.

He's not a bench player, he's not a middle third player and he's probably not an Origin player at all, but we're stuck with him in all three of those roles at once.
