Bale is the current favourite with the bookies (2/5) and even though he has had a very good season, I would give it to either Suarez or RVP. Both have been excellent throughout the whole season.

Mata and Michu deserve a mention as well, both have had very good seasons.

Who do you believe deserves the award?

    Poll to follow...

Well there's still lots of football to be played.

If the award were right now, I'd imagine Bale would get it simply because his best patch of form has come recently. Not that I'd agree with that, mind.

Bale, because I hate RVP and Suarez, plus he's been better than Mata.

Very true, just thought I'll post a thread up about it because there has been some discussion in the media

Would give it to Suarez or RVP. They've performed more consistently over the course of the season as opposed to Bale who's had more of a recent hot streak.

I'd probably give it to RVP myself. As much as Suarez has been awesome. RVP goals have played a vital role in Man Utd winning the league....

Well, on course to win the league.

    Mata can gagf

RVP has been the best over the course of the season IMO. Still a lot of football left though as Eds said. If Bale keeps going until the end of the and RVP/Suarez don't hit another top patch then I'd say Bale deserves it.

Everyones jumping on the Bale bandwagon because he is the best player in the league at this moment in time. But when you look over the whole season I think both RvP and Suarez have been better.

    Voted Suarez for 3 reasons:
    • He's now the leagues top scorer
    • While I do think RvP is the much better finisher, Suarez' skill and some of the things he's done this season put him higher overall imo
    • Suarez has managed all of this in a much weaker team

Maybe if Bale carries on his form throughout the remainder and Tottenham finish 2nd or 3rd I might feel he should get the nod though

    Fellaini.

  11. PienaarColada DH Mulray

    Correct.

  12. Lukic L Popovic

Suarez. Take RVP off utd and they probably still win the league. Liverpool without Suarez

  13. Ari PM Jackson

    RVP.

  14. 99* JJ Ritchie

    Bale will win it.

RVP or Suarez deserve it more though.

  15. Frizzed WC Welker

At this juncture RVP deserves it but there is still plenty of games left.

I've voted for michu cos for 2mil the impact he has had has been immense either him or Jonathan De Guzman both swansea players deserve the recognition

It isn't "buy of the year" though.

  18. BigGuns DA Astele

Bale will win it and deserves it.

Neck and neck and neck, I think. They won't give it to Suarez because he's a little skidmark, and rightfully so but I'd say he's played the best football. Hard to compare RVP and Bale so I have no problem with them giving it to Bale because he's (even) more spectacular.
