    Irrelevant that there's still plenty of football to be played for, this will have been voted on by now, maybe even a month or so ago.

    Suarez probably been the best player, but it's close between him and RVP. Bale just behind, he'll get the writers award anyway.

    When does the voting happen ? Heard the forms are given a month ago.

    If that's the case RVP will take the players award, while Bale will take the sports writers one.

    Suarez has been as good as RVP, with the likes of Mata/Bale just below. But Suarez' general dislikeability will cost him votes from opposition players at least.

    Always, wonder how much personal equations and other not footballing factors affect votes in this ?
