Jackson will one of the GF bolters picked for Australia for sure.

  2. Cribbage RG Cribb

    Yeah no doubt.

Yeah. This is massive. As little as I rate the cunt nowadays, he's the skipper and is still an important player for them. Two fractures in the foot, and they've gone from saying he's certain to play to saying he's facing an uphill battle. Even if he plays you'd have to wonder about his effectiveness and ability to perform with such an injury.

  4. Cribbage RG Cribb

I wonder how they'd cover him being out.

Reynolds playing hooker with Williams starting in the halves and Mbye on the bench?
    Cook playing?
Jackson to hooker at some point?
    Mybe straight into dummy half?

    It's a curious one.

I really don't see them tinkering with the halves.

  6. Cribbage RG Cribb

I'd usually agree, but they did against Penrith when Ennis went off. I would've expected Jackson to go to hooker but Reynolds did. It depends how much faith they have in Cook and Mbye as dummy half options as it seems really unlikely they'll put Jackson there now.

True. I may be slightly projecting my own opinions as to what should be done. I certainly wouldn't be putting Reynolds at acting half but then, I've never rated him as highly as you or a lot of others on here.

  8. Julian BJ Taylor

Reynolds is more a hooker than a half anyway.

He was actually really decent at Hooker in 2011. Hasn't been that good since the move to 5/8th obv.

While it is unclear where or how severe Ennis's fractures are, former South Sydney and NSW Origin doctor Nathan Gibbs said the injury could be career-ending if he played through the pain.
"To numb a foot, particularly if there's two fractures, you'd need to use a lot of pain killers," Gibbs told Triple M. "You'd probably have to put it in at half-time to get through the second half and there's a high risk of making it worse, which could actually jeopardise how he goes next year.
"If he's got a few broken toes, that's of no significance. If the metatarsal bones are broken in the mid-shaft, that's not too bad if it completely breaks because they'll get better in six weeks. If it's at the base of the metatarsal where the joint is or the navicular bone, they can be terrible. If they completely break, they can be career ending."

Not sounding good. SMH is talking as if he's a massive long shot to play.

Well he is going to Cronulla so his career is already is over. Might as well try and snag a Premiership before it ends.

So many fans want Reni to play there

Surely Mbye is the go to back up.

Des loves doing funky re-arrangements though.

The fact that they haven't mentioned where the fractures are seems a little suspicious to me.

    What do you mean, Harry?

  16. Harry Sack SB Slippy

    Basically this right here...

Unless they've come out and said where the fractures are? I'm just suspicious of Des I guess

Although it's seeming more and more likely that he'll be out..

  18. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Yeah, I can't see him playing at this point. His comments seemed rather despairing.

Better off making a call early in the week
