Yeah, this. People started becoming more interested in their simming averages than their actual performances, and selectors stopped looking at ALC results - rather just looking at the SA thread. Teams should be picked on performance and, in real life, selectors aren't given a sheet a paper that lists every player's maximum potential for them. It makes more of an art out of it this way. It's actually set up at the moment so not even I see the 5-day simming averages; they're just slapped straight into the ITC database.
Ranks > Simming Averages. Simming averages are nothing unless you compare them to everyone elses simming averages
Only for players who have played required amount of games/wickets/whatever. Although then I guess that would reward experience.
I think it is better not being able to see them. As people have said the rankings are better but it does make selecting more realistic without them.
