Hey all I'm the creator of Pocket Cricket So glad to find so many fans of my little game. Some feedback on some of your gripes... We're still in BETA and it's important for us to find a balance between making it accessible for new players who we don't wanna alienate and experienced players who we want to challenge. I'm waiting to hear if I've secured a third round of funding and if I do, there are some exciting changes coming soon: * Two difficulty levels * Better tie-breaking in leaderboards * Currency rewards for in-game performance * RPG component allowing you to purchase pre-game powerups * Android and iOS app It's very tough to keep everyone happy, especially since my investors are screaming for me to start making money with the thing. Bowling would be cool too - not necessarily bowling and then batting; could do it so there's a bowling "series" and a batting "series".
Didn't realise this was intended to be monetised though, so I wonder how that will work. As an Android/iOS game it's not that farfetched, but I don't see this being successful as a monetised PC game. Quite neat to have the designer find us and post here though.
Spinners won't add much other than being a bit slower than the slowest bowlers atm, unless there's a cool way to actually integrate turn in but that'll just make the game hard as fuck most likely. I wouldn't mind having some wides and no balls though to add to make it a bit more realistic, plus some lefties.
