Discussion in 'Provincial Competitions' started by Cribbage, Apr 30, 2012.

  1. Skippos SM Morgan

    1. SP Phlegm
    2. JJD Heads
    3. PM Jackson
    4. ML Martyn
    5. BR Hall/NG Scott
    6. DA Astele
    7. LE Schaw/AJ O'Neill (Would open and send heads to 3 and everyone down one) (could almost make a case for both instead of hall/astele)
    8. CJ Smith
    9. CM Dyer/ZAF MacDonald/ER Witters/ZM Ikram (would be 11 obv)
    10. JJ Ritchie
    11. DM Diggler/ZM Ikram

probably well off the mark though. not a well researched team

  2. Cevno IV Narang

South probably have the batting edge, while North have a bowling advantage.

  3. Prince CHEWS D Moophy

    Disappointed not to be named.

  4. Cribbage RG Cribb

Schaw and O'Neill will definitely both be playing, I'd say.

    1 Phelgm
    2 Heads
    3 Jackson
    4 Martyn
    5 Schaw
    6 O'Neill
    7
    8
    9 Ritchie
    10
    11

Bowling is up in the air aside from Ritchie really, as is the #7 spot.

  5. Cribbage RG Cribb

No you're not. If I named you then you would've come in here and had a whinge about how you don't want to play.

  6. Skippos SM Morgan

    and north

    1. IV Narang
    2. CJ Downes
    3. TJ Clough/LV Himann/BE Quilty
    4. IT Lee
    5. JA Chewie
    6. S Das/SSD Dong/CC Classified/OX Gbagbo
    7. M Faithful
    8. CJ Evans
    9. SJ Cambridge
    10. JHF Howe/J McDougal/JM Eightyfour (with MF @ 7 could be an option to boost batting - would bat higher obv.)
    11. MJ Edwards/J McDougal/JHF Howe

    again, probs well off.

  7. Prince CHEWS D Moophy

If calling you a shit cunt is your definition of whinging, then yeah, fair call.

  8. Cribbage RG Cribb

I don't reckon Faithful will be available despite being eligible, as he'll probably get picked in the real North side.

  9. Cevno IV Narang

    Not that many openers, tbf.

I'm the only one playing BS, and then we You, Downes and Quilty.

  10. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

North should have a decent bowling line-up.

  11. Skippos SM Morgan

long tail though unless 84 plays or someone so mf/evans is 8/9

  12. Skippos SM Morgan

would bring a raft of problems with #8 too. martyn/winney/rogers/someone else i can't remember would have to get a look.

  13. Eddie EI Morris

    Mouse >>>>>> Doog / Howe

  14. Pest JK Lyons

Haven't got a chance if there is 52 players in the north. Good luck to all people who plays!

  15. Skippos SM Morgan

agreed. he was pretty much set but just had to say it. reckon atm if the match were tomorrow and mf was ineligible would be

    7. 84
    8. evans
    9. winney
    10. howe/doog
    11. edwards

or something as evans being the keeper is such a drag and having 7. evans, 8. winney would be dire unless howe/doog didn't play and another bowling ar did.

just my take. don't attack :p

  16. Verigoat S Verigotta

Was pretty certain i was availbale for this ,this season

    :(

  17. Cevno IV Narang

No point in playing Eightyfour though as we will have 3/4 all rounders above him, who are probably better bowlers.

true - and most of them bowl spin which you have none of.

  19. Howe JHF Howe

Must remember not to play a token BS match right at the end of the season. Want to be available for this in season 13.

Would be pretty strange for me to make last season's North Academy but not this season's. Mouse is a goer though, so it's hard to say.

Oh and remind me what's the difference between South Academy and NZ seconds?

I think you and Downes are the obvious choices for the opening slots. Additionally all of Das, Clough and Dong probably deserve to be in there ahead of me at this stage.
