Not in proper cricket. You can change him to a top order batsman if you like but, like Thornely, it'll cost him some SA points. That he's opened a fair bit in one day cricket will definitely be taken into consideration but he's definitely not a specialist opener.
Depends if they're more likely to open or bat 4 and #3 fits into both. Sangakkara's in as middle order ATM.
Yeah, my experience with ITC is that you can bat either what they call "openers" or what they call "specialists" without an issue. The key requirement of batting there seems to be actually being good - prank-batsmen tend to fail there more than anywhere else. Both those things mirror real life pretty well actually, IMO.

This doesn't happen to include relatively unproven young indians does it? >_< Tempted to bump Clarke up to 3, but as my best player, I really have to keep him at 4/5 where he's best. Also, I'm not going to bowl colly, so **** it, have him bowling his off cutters in the nets.
