I think it not being something that would appeal to the masses it what makes it quite good. It would be pretty crap if 20/30 people retired every season. TBH if my player didn't pick up I would probably retired given the chance.

Far too early to consider retirement but would sign up as a bowler or aggressive bat. Maybe I'll come up with something focused on OD cricket rather than FC.
Bad thing would be so many people retiring at the same time. If you're a gun player and have to retire and go to 0 post count, it will really suck dick.
Nah a post count reset is a good idea as long as retiring isn't compulsory. Would stop kents doing it just to make a better player and force them to start over kind of thing.
Maybe there could be an optional retirement at season 15, and compulsary at 20. Compulsary you get to keep 75% of your total posts.
Alternatively, reset post count at 15 (continue to use old one for remainder of seasons played), retire whenever and carry your new post count into the new player.
