    Pretty much traded Gibbs for Bell, gained Blair and Moltzen at half back is a massive, massive upgrade.

    Us and Melbourne are definitely the teams to beat this year.

    Why are Newcastle all of a sudden being talked of as a top side? Bennett will need 2 years minimum.

    He did it with the Dragons in one year. Newcastle made the 8 last year and they have a way better team/coach this year.

    Cuthbertson is fucking average, he shouldn't be in the starting side. Tahu is a big signing, but he could be a dud. Same with Bedsey.

    The Bennett factor will help and they have signed a few good players IMO.

    They'll probably have to wait until 2013-14 to win stuff though.

    I don't even care about the Bennett factor. The main reason they've been rubbish in the last few years is the fact that they've had the worst middle third forward rotation I can ever remember - their props have been shit. They've signed Snowden and Bennett isn't dumb enough to have Costigan play on the fringes, so that'll help massively.

    Rick Stone's decision to move Costigan back out of the front row is one of the worst coaching/analytical mistakes of the last 5 years IMO. Soon to be ousted by Furner's choice to play Berrigan in the centres.

    Regardless of Bennett their side is better on paper and they're always hanging around the top 8. No reason to think they shouldn't improve.

    Without seeing them play, that Knights side is top 4 if Buderus fires IMO. Bennett improves the defence of every team he coaches. And I think Gidley will revel in the halves.
