I really don't want anyone to ever play for both CricSim North and CricSim South, so for the purposes of eligibility there I'm going to officially recognise Western Australia, South Australia, Ireland (Celtic Provinces in combination with Scotland for now) and South Africa as "associate provinces" that I intend to upgrade once they're populated enough. This is to prevent players eligible for these teams from having to change their N/S eligibility later. As such, the following North/South allegiances have changed: SJ Nova - now CricSim South (Western Australia) BM Penn - now CricSim South (Western Australia) B Man - now CricSim South (Western Australia) RK Fittaman - now CricSim South (South Australia) CM Dyer - now CricSim South (South Africa) ZM Ikram - now CricSim South (South Africa) SM Morgan - now CricSim North (Ireland) %MC Smink - now CricSim North (Ireland) These players will still be eligible for their current provinces until their associate provinces are given full status, however their North/South eligibility has changed, effective immediately. I'd appreciate it if the other sims took these changes on board, however ultimately it's up to the individual owners.
Will this affect the sides much? I suppose Morgan could play for North if he keeps his current form up...
Might affect the Academy sides, might affect other sims a bit. Morgan was probably a better shot for South than he was for North but yeah he's the only one it'll effect on a senior level this season. EDIT: Nova could've played for CricSim North's one day team.
Hoping to have a really strong finish to the season so that i can get a chance to open for the South, with Morgan going North it makes my chances greater of making the squad.
Nah. You put down NZ/WA, and WA wasn't even an actual option at the time. I have no idea why you put it, and I'm ignoring it. I've told you this before. It's not like signing for a club.
Yep. It's a close run thing as they overlap a bit but I've ruled SA as South. I think the southern most part of South Africa is lower than the southern most part of Queensland (although it looks close on the map) and the northern most part of Queensland is definitely further north than the northern most part of South Africa.
Yeah certainly looks that way on the map I posted. Northern most part in line with South Queensland. So yeah, South for sure.
I'd appreciate a list of all guys from these new associate provinces. Given the larger need for players in RUSim to become a team, I doubt any of these associate provinces are at all close to getting a team in it, and I'd rather not exclude these guys from playing Provincial in RUSim at the moment. I'll have to give some thought as to how best to reflect these changes, but I can change the North/South eligibility, but it does mean a larger difference between North and South than previously for RUSim as Souff lose Skippos who was one of only a couple of decent back rowers South had.
Well they won't even be stopped from playing provincial in CricSim. Anyway there's a list of Celts in the Britain forum which you've seen.. the only South African not mentioned in the first post is %JP Rhodes (currently New Zealand). %NG Scott and %T Bochat are from Western Australia but weren't listed because they play for southern provinces, and %KF Tait and %Z Payne are South Australian (not listed for the same reason).
