That post just shows that you clearly don't even look at the scorecards other than your score. He actually had some decent knocks during the PC.
Yeah. I'll be looking at both Orr and Shriram closely over the early rounds. Too bad that only one will play in all likelyhood.
Berkuta is probably the only one struggling to make the team if it was selected now imo. Flack aiming up for a recall?
1. Speirs 2. TBA 3. Lewis 4. Parker 5. TBA (almost certainly Hayes) 6. TBA 7. Dempsey 8. Tyson 9. Wilson 10. Bullpitt 11. Green
It's also possible that Freddy will play, slotting in at 8 and moving Tyson and Demspey up one. Although that's pretty unlikely at this point.
Flack's record for NSW in recent seasons has been ridiculously bad. He was dropped for a reason and it wasn't his club form (although that was bad too at the time IIRC).
I really don't like the idea of both Freddy and Tyson playing. Just seems like the batting is fragile on paper...but it's probably just me. With the opening position, there are quite a few options so that should be alright.
Blocka, Stingray middle order bat. Been in poor form this season, relatively inactive. I'm the new Morgie FTR, I read everything
Well we have lots of top order bats (Armstrong, Gonzalez, Thornton, Cribb) pushing for selection, and we could always slide Lewis down the order given he bats five exclusively at club level. Gonzalez, of course, can bat anywhere and has a very good record batting 6/7 too. I nominate BI Immanuel as somewhat of a smokey as well although he's barely played any games yet so the earliest possible time I could bring him in would probably be the PC after the season. I don't get the Berkuta hate though; he did pretty well for his first season in NSW colours; he actually hit a ton on debut IIRC. He's in bad club form but I don't care too much about once players have played for NSW tbh.
Cribb, are you naming a 15 man squad? And if so, seeing as you reckon Immanuel is a bit inexperienced at this time, what do you rate my chances of making the 15 as a backup keeper - pretty much like Season 7?
I won't be naming a 15-man squad for Origin because, unlike the PC, you can bring in as many different players as you like throughout the series. I'll be naming a 13-man squad for each game and omitting two just before the toss. If you keep up your performances so far this season you'll be the backup keeper come the PC when such a position will actually be relevant.
