You just have to post in this thread: http://www.cricsim.com/showthread.php?t=21114&page=8 That you're contracted to the Hurricanes, then you get access to their private subforum and you are available to play for them.

I don't understand the shirt numbers that people are picking Heef - what feature of the sim is this - everyone knows what numbers go on your shirt and you don't get much say in the matter in real rugby.
Shirt number is pointless. I actually just removed a need for it in the registration between Klonam posting his rego and you posting the above.
I think it's people who don't know much about rugby and assume it's like AFL & soccer to a lesser degree where it's a custom number.
The original intention was to differentiate between positions with the same name, but slightly different depending on number e.g. 1/3 (tight vs. loosehead prop) 6/7 (openside/blindside flanker) 4/5 or 12/13. The regos don't use it though as it's not required. Depending on how you pick your three preferences will make you better suited to 1/3 or 6/7 etc. etc.
It just makes me think that people who list down #7 and say they are a centre are new to rugby. But thanks for the explanation. I think when I registered I did say I wanted to be 6. So if you don't want to have shirt numbers then you will have to have blind side and open side flanker - for those who actually don't want to leave it up to you (Heef) to pick their final position. How you differentiate between 4 and 5 I have no idea.
Meh, I just use the sign up from the first page. Still I know that in Rugby you can only get certain numbers.
Yeah, there should be a few teams who still need a flanker. The Vikings, Hurricanes and Gamblers are all a couple of players short of a full squad at the moment, so hopefully one of their recruiters will be in touch with you soon enough.
