I'll be surprised if Cotto lands a single punch. . All jokes aside, I can't see any way Cotto can possibly break down Mayweather's premiere defensive technique. Easy win for Mayweather IMO.
Styles make fights and Cotto is made for Mayweather, come forward pressure fighter. Should really make Floyd look good. I'm a big Cotto fan though and think that at this weight he's a far greater threat than anything Floyds come up against since returning from his 'retirement'. Would love to see an upset.
Mayweather has said he is going to be more aggresive than some of his previous fights which imo will work in Cotto favour. I think Mayweather speed will overwhelm Cotto in the end. I don't see Cotto getting knocked out, so it should last 12 rounds. I love Cotto I hope he pulls off an upset.
Yes. Mayweather is easily the best boxer in the world but Pacquiao is probably the best fighter. Floyd's defence is the best in the game but Pac throws punches from more angles than any boxer I've ever seen. And he's also got hand speed to match Floyd which is extremely rare. It's almost a coin toss as to who would win. I would pay very good money to see it happen. It's the sort of fight that can help bring boxing back from the brink of obscurity and stigma.
Pacquiao v Mayweather would be great because neither fighter is confined to point scoring nor to knock-out. Both are very capable scorers and both are very capable finishers. Mayweather couldn't finish Cotto (although I think he could've if he really wanted to). Manny, on the other hand, destroyed Cotto from the word go. It's a minor miracle that that fight got to the 12th. Likewise, Pacquiao annihilated Hatton. Mayweather was clinical and eventually ended it but in hardly as impressive a fashion.
Recent performance from Pacquiao haven't been as dominant as he would like either. I wish they make the fight happen though, both fighter will make a ridiculous amount of money. Plus it will do so much for the sport. Mayweather hasn't really got anyone to fight apart from Pacquio, maybe Saul Alvarez but imo he is to raw to fight him. We'll see how Manny performs against Bradley. I good showing from Pacquiao will go along way making the fight that everyone in the boxing community wants
Nah I disagree. Whether or not the fight happens has nothing to do with the abilities of either boxer but has far more to do with whether or not they can put their differences aside. If they wanted the fight, they would have made it happen by now. Neither of them wants it and it isn't going to happen.
Bradley is one not to be under estimated in my opinion, good fighter. As for Pac V Mayweather Stylistically there's an advantage for Mayweather, but it'd be one hell of a fight.
