Nah - I have 'basic' star wars knowledge but have no doubt I'd get by; MK mafia has shown we don't need ultimate knowledge either. This.
not talking about crazy questions! and in regards to the MK in all honesty i probs shouldnt have joined it as i didnt really know the roles and stuff, and i wouldnt want that to happen again in this one.
The main reason why I tend to stop posting is the lack of actually intelligent discussion going on...
That's not ideal either. Once the game gets to a hundred or so posts, it becomes very hard for someone to get into the game if they haven't been part of it from the beginning, meaning they'll likely not be very active either. Also, posting styles will be different. Why look for bandaid solutions when there's a very clear one; just don't let these people play?
I was more responding to people who suddenly become inactive I.e Tart losing internet access, not inactives from the start.
Same thing as Epicmafia. Tough Luck. Anyways they can be replaced by others too. As for the second part, most of the guys who joined the MK one are pretty active on the forums. So don't get how you could have not let them sign up at the start of the game. Also, what isn't helping that game is that game is alongside no compulsory lynch/talk rule, there is a rule about more than half needed for a lynch and not just majority.
I'll be hand-picking people from the applicants. Pretty much solely based on activity - Star Wars knowledge would be a plus, but I assume some of that will come with the active people. I've also found a way of [hopefully] keeping reserves interested in the game, so we can replace anyone that's inactive. I'll also PM the people I pick asking what role they'd like, ideally, or which faction they'd like to be a part of. Obviously won't be able to fit everyone in to the one they want, but if they do get it, then it massively increases the chance of them staying active.
Lots. Will reveal more information closer to the time, and we'll have a re-confirmation of interest as well, at which point I'll select the people and PM asking about preference etc.
I'm going to pick the 27 players out of the sign-ups who I feel will most contribute towards the game.
I think we've already had 27 active sign-ups, so far. Could knock it down to 23/24/25, I suppose, but then we're starting to kick out pretty important characters.
