Meh. Youre not gonna like much by KoL then lol. Theres a few songs wehere he has more of a rhythym rock but theres still hints of the whinyness. Try Be Somebody.
Nah. The voice is only whiny when he goes away from his natural blues rock on their shittest album: Only by the Night.
Was still a decent album, but not what you expect from a KoL album. First few were sooo much better though.

Re-discovered garage rock the last month or so. Youth and Young Manhood, with Is This It, is the best debut rock album is so fucking long it's not funny. Still deeply love this band if not for the fact their first 3 albums are just fucking rock and roll masterpieces.
Pains me to hear the dross they put out now after such an amazing start to their career. Y&YM is still a great summer album in the car.
