I'm aware that my backrow is going to struggle. The aim will be to pick up a bargain or two that could potentially get me a lot of points.
Well, realistically, what's the difference between going after Smith or Parker? There's no penalty for having a df coming from the bench. No matter what, I'm gonna ahve a few sketchy forwards who mightn't do much. There's no difference between having them in the starting team or on the bench.
Ross is a risk but there was not much better on offer. It looks like a mid table to top four finish on first glance.
Team could go either way really. Matt Scott's production takes a hit with Johnson, Hall and Cooper coming in. Neville Costigan is playing for a shithouse coach. Ben Hannant has declined from the guaranteed df he used to be. John Williams may not even play much first grade, but worth a punt really as he could end up kicking. Also Ben Ross being a risk too.
I disagree regarding Scott. I had him last year and he very, very rarely hit the 40. He got his df's through making 130m+. I think that he's actually a better chance of that this season because you'd have to hope that the Cows would be on the front foot a little bit more. Also the rest of the props are shitty with Rapira and Mason gone. I also can't come into Hannant. One season where he is injured for a fair chunk of it does not equate to a decline. Ross and Williams are massive risks though.
