Agreed, Had a guy last year that went for the team that was winning the most and that being the Storm, When Storm lost the grand final he put all over his facebook GO MANLY ON YA BOYS and shit like that, ****ing pretending he went for manly when he said the whole year that Storm were his team, When Broncos won the comp he said the exact same thing, i lost it lol i said stick to ****ing one team and follow them i have been a dragons supporter since i could remember and i would never change teams EVER!! it annoys me so much aswell.
But they aren't true fans really. More like the ones who just give people shit because the team they chose wins. Or the guys that support casually and go like "Yeah bitch, we whooped your ass" and when you try to say a thing to them they're like "Pfft, I don't care or watch league anyway" I also know some people who pick 2 random teams, hope they are in the final against each other and support them.
kind of hard for me to go to any panthers games when i live in new zealand seeing as though im not in auckland it makes it hard to even go when they play the warriors over here, have gone to one game though
I don't care if part-time League fans support the team that plays the most entertaining footy (usually the teams coming first, or near the top), as long as they admit it. Pisses me off when they try and bag you when they barely watch the footy.
without a doubt. 6 years ago (or 7 i forget or 8? idno) i went to every souths game in a season except about 4 or 5. If your a big fan, live close enough, as well as not having some pressing matter to attend to (big garenteed good party, etc etc) you should be at the game.
Been to one game this year, Raiders v Cowboys, was the worst ****ing performance Id been out to see of my team.
Why? It's easier (and better) to watch at home IMO. I'd go if the game wasn't live probably, but that'd be about it. The only benefit for going to games would be the atmosphere, and that's not worth the $20 or whatever the price of your seating/GA are.
meh, for me its awesome being at a live game (second only to being at a gig) im sick of watching games on the tv. I enjoy being at the game screaming at the top of my lungs, than yelling at commentators.. LOL.
For me the atmosphere is worth the $20 or whatever I pay for my season pass, but then again everyone is different. Also making sure the money I spend be it on food, jerseys, membership etc etc is going straight to the club I support rather than other companies.
Not that many of them are into RL that much... One of them is into it as much as me and we've been to a few games over the years, but I still prefer watching on TV for the most part. Don't you spend most of your time drinking behind the hill or something anyway? You can do that plenty of other places for free.
