3rd 4th and 5th ones are clear as day, flying elbows to the head.

Obviously you're a little soft, because they're legal bumps in AFL. As long as your elbow is tucked in at point of contact, which those were, it's ok.

I have a hard time believing that a lot of those bumps would not lead to a free kick for charging, there is clearly contact with the head.

Seriously don't understand why you're bothering to argue the point here when you clearly have inferior knowledge of the rules, and you refuse to listen to someone who has vast knowledge of them.

I'm just saying that from what I've seen from the last few rounds and when looking at the players that have had to go to the tribunal in the last few weeks, the hits in that video are just as illegal if not more so than those that players have had to answer too this season.

This is laughable... surely he wont make the top grade.

Should be called Fumbleball tbh, every 5 seconds there is a ball up. There is no strategy to AFL as there is in league. You don't create overlaps in AFL and good defence isn't rewarded in AFL. FFS, in AFL you can knock a ball out on purpose and get it back.

    You can in League too.

    How? Besides 40-20...

Sweet. Just what GC needed to get interest up for AFL.

Will be the first of many code switchers. Good to see AFL land the first blow.

Lol, how do you think Hawthorn won the Premiership last season?

Rolling Zone. They played it all season and it was one of the best game plans ever made.

And if you believe there is no overlap in AFL, watch a Geelong match.

And with that last comment, the ball is thrown in if you knock it out. It's a 50/50 ball.

TBH I don't think this will create as much interest as they think it will. I can see a lot of people tuning in for his first match (and because it'll be a new club too, Gold Coast is bandwagon central :p), but after that no one will really give a shit.

    Scrum.

Any publicity for GC is good publicity.

I just heard this. Holy shit, ****ing amazing. I love Karmichael Hunt as an NRL player, and even as a Storm supporter, rate him higher than Billy Slater. That is massive news! Wow!

Even though it's a publicity stunt I think it's working. I already like Gold Coast as my second favourite team (although they haven't played) and now I'm even thinking of buying a jersey because of this. I'm sure it'll bring many fans to the club. Great move.

As for Karmichael though I think he'll be a decent player. Athletic, fit and his skills will get worked on for the next 18 months. Would be good across the halfback line. He can tackle, step and is a big unit. I really like this signing for them.

This ost shows exactly how dense you are. Ever watched a game of AFL football?

How is this good...? AFL and the Gold Coast franchise have just admitted in a strange way that Rugby League rules QLD and the only way they will get any press is if they pull a stunt like this. Hunt will play a couple of matches and a few people might watch the but once the whole ordeal is over they will go back to supporting League and Gold Coast will be stuck with a nuffie on massive money.

The Gold Coast franchise has just made a joke out of itself and will fail even more than the Western Sydney team.

I honestly dont think even this stunt will get fans to change codes, yes its a good publicity stunt, but because one player has changed codes it doesn't mean the whole state is going to change. With Brisbane and now Gold Coast in QLD it will be interesting to see the membership numbers of these two sides compared to a League side.

Lol @ Lukic saying there is no strategy and gameplan in AFL, proves your a ****in dweeb.

The AFL know that League dominates QLD, that is why they have chucked another team at it and not added another Melbourne team. That siad, they know that AFL can grow in popularity over there, everyone knows it will never ever surpass League.

And, the AFL has made a joke of itself by bring in a Gold Coast and West Sydney team before a Tasmanian team.

Fans will never change codes. Look what the A-League has done. I'm a still a mad AFL supporter, but I still attend Victory games. That's what the AFL is aiming for.
