Hunt to switch to AFL

Guest is seriously over rating how hard AFL is, if you are fit with half a brain AFL is beyond easy, it's almost too easy to read.


If AFL clubs seem to think it's a good choice drafting kids that have proven to be fit by getting a high score in the beep test and thinking they can turn them into stars, then it has to make you wonder how good an idea it must seem to sign a proven world class athlete and see what you can turn him into.

 

I played quite a bit of AFL in year 10, we actually had it as a subject too. It's actually a lot more fun than watching it. In some ways it was more fun than playing League (tho I've never played proper league in my life, just 6 on 6 or whatever during lunch breaks, so I could be just talking shit).

 

I guess it really depends, I've played heaps of both at a relatively high level, personally I think AFL is a lot easier and revolves more around individual efforts, it's a game that's somewhat physical that can be played and enjoyed by people who lack the physical presence to play league.

Playing league is fun if you're good at it but it's also a lot more intense, which takes the fun away from it.

 

Those types of hits come under the charging rule I believe.

 

Well I'd only watched the first six, in which all of them come into contact with the head.

 

Hip hits the the body, arm and upper shoulder seem to be coming into contact with the head to my eyes.
