I wouldn't say this is a guilty pleasure.....good to have at a party because everyone knows the lyrics.
When I saw this thread that song instantly popped into my head. And fuck off Rego, you went to one house party the other day.
Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag The Fray - How to save a life Kid Cudi - Pursuit of Happiness They are not guilty pleasures in the sense of being bad songs but I think they're good songs but they're too popular and I'm too pretentious for me to admit I like them.
I think the band is called FUN - the ones that did "we are young" the one with the lyrics "getting higher than the empire state" but I like their new song more.
Am I the only one who thinks that it's outdated to use high than the empier state when it's not nearly the tallest building? It's like going I'm claiming to be a better halfback than Scott Dureau as opposed to Andrew Johns? Or am I kidding myself?
Easily recognisable though and sounds good. "Higher than the Q1/whatever building is tallest these days" wouldn't have the same effect.
