    I'm not writing off Souths just yet but I'll be stunned if they win it from here. Losing 4 of their last 5, and the win over Wests means next to nothing. They played well tonight but I don't know if they can get back up for it in consecutive weeks.

    Neither team could consolidate the lead. It was really bizarre. A lot of it came down to crucial refereeing decisions but quite a bit of it was also self-inflicted.

    Melbourne really are in prime position now. They get Asofa-Solomona back and they will be extremely hard to topple. They've missed him a fair bit.
