    I average 0 for the league side :p
    And about 3 for the Sunday team. I've had a majorly bad start to the season.
    Ignoring the 2.1 overs I bowled in torrential rain I average 6.something with the ball.
    Aiming to get batting average > bowling average :laugh:

    Yeh Dad said your bowling looked superior to your batting.

    Surreal moment yesterday.


    Some guys were at the bar at the Exeter ground who were about 40-50ish and I over heard them from the changing room talking about my Dad playing cricket, I had just met them and introduced myself and they recognised the name.

    Anyway according to these guys he was by far the best batsman in the county when he was 24-27 and the fact he never made it further than Devon was a tradegy! Obviously he's got worse now he's 45 but it was odd to hear that he was so good, especially as they didn't know I could hear them so they weren't just being polite. Didn't realise it.

    Lot to live up to!

    Yeah your Dad was telling me some stories about your family etc.
    Quite a past you've got behind you :laugh:.
    We were speaking about Devon & Cornwall and the set ups etc and he had a few problems similar to those I have had with selectors etc. Saying that he batted 3 in 2 trial games and made 60 odd and 40 odd but they picked some guy who made 0&1 ahead of him. I only bowled about 4 balls to your Dad and never saw him when I was batting, he must've been looking sneakily and not at all obviously :laugh: Would've been pretty intimidating if I knew he was watching TBH.

    Well the Academy game was late-ish. Plus there are a load of us guys on. Also it'd mean the Bs can start again next week!

    No it was all pretty relaxed, there wasn't many there TBH.
    Your dad, John McGahey(sp.) and another bloke all batted then the SA then me. I had about 4 different guys bowling to me, 3 young ones and another.
    Then eventually went onto the bowling machine after the SA had had 10 buckets or something :p.
    Didn't notice anyone watching me :lol: or scrutinising me as I was the new guy type of thing.
    Was pretty happy, bowled some absolute pearlers to John.

    INAUGURAL CHAMPIONS BOYS!!!!​


    Congrats to everyone involved! A great performance today!

    Hopefully this will see us into the PC. Though as Cribb stated we'll need to show some consistency!


    Cribb any chance of the STPC and SoO stats to be produced?

    I'm in no great rush to join the PC. Kind of like I wasn't in a rush to play first grade. You're better making the step up a bit too late than a bit too early.
