Yeah I would agree but that doesnt mean he is our reserve quick. Zaka could potentially become gun.

Got some more stats for you guys seeing as I was gathering those and was very bored.

I noticed that a hell a lot of us have been caught out a lot when I was looking through the score sheets. 7 of our players have got out caught >75% of their outs, with 2 getting out 100% of the time caught (if you count c&b), they are Graham and Blunder. Infact against Victoria we only had 3 dismissals that were not caught and 2 of those were McGrath. Clearly we need to learn to hit the ball along the ground.
We have done well protecting our stumps though. With only 3 dismissals through being bowled and 2 of those were from tailender Whicker, the other person to have been bowled was at the other end of the order in McGrath.
We have only had 1 run out and that was Luffman, so our running is obviously not to bad. The rest have been LBW.
Overall we have been dismissed by catches 70% of the time, LBW 20%, bowled 7.5% and ran out 3.5%.

For the bowlers I thought I would just do their stats individually:

Farny - Bowled 53.33%, Caught 26.67%, LBW 20%
Blunder - LBW 50%, Caught 37.5%, Bowled 12.5%
Laing - Caught 40%, LBW 40%, Bowled 20%
Deane - Caught 50%, LBW 25%, Bowled 25%
Whicker - Caught 50%, LBW 25%, Bowled 25%

Overall - Caught 36.11%, Bowled 33.33%, LBW 30.56%

So unlike the batting it is very close to how we dismiss people, however if it wasn't for Farny we would barely bowl anyone. I was going to do what part of the order (i.e Top, Middle, Lower and Tail) people bowl best to but wasn't that bored! If someone wants it done I am sure I could though, nothing better to at this time of the night.

Then fielding:

4 catches - Whicker
3 catches - Graham
2 catches - McGrath
1 catch - Luffman & Short

Well that is probably the saddest thing I have ever done but hey ho some stats for you guys.

 

Whicker's been shit!

Pretty pleased with my stats. Want to get my average >30.... probably won't happen though.

 

Yeah easily the biggest 2 disappointments have been Whicker and Luffman. Probably the biggest reason we havent won either game. If they performed like they "should" then we probably would have won both games. I know you cant definitely say that but I would have at least put us down for the QLD game.

 

Of how we have got our wickets or how we have got out?

 

I was going to say, I believe we have been caught behind 6 times. With Goodfellow and Colesy being caught behind in both innings against Victoria.

 

I think our batting was what cost us in the Vic game, not our bowling.

 

The wierd thing is though. Our first innings was really good.

We just need one or two people to get scores.

Time for Luffers to stand up.

 

If he doesnt ton this game, it will be the longest hes gone without hitting 3 figures all season

 

Yeah it was our 2nd innings that cost us, however if Whicker had fired like he can it could have all been different. I am not blaming the bowling for any of the losses.

 

Thing is Luffers has never played this level before, so maybe he just cant hack it!
