Yeah - love his style of writing (though hard to tell whether some of it is in translation, of course). Unfortunately, the uni library doesn't have any of his novels. Mind you, I've been on a JG Ballard binge recently - pretty much working my way through his whole catalogue at the moment.

you can go into some serious debt with battrick before you are broke.
unless they have changed it. The rules said you could borrow up to 150k I think to perchase players - can't remember the broke point. We are talking a year or two back.

Sewell to Ladagnous : [Boundary Hitter] Ladagnous walks outside off and plays a fine paddle scoop.
    22.2

Sewell to Ladagnous : [Boundary Hitter] Ah, short and wide, Ladagnous has all the time in the world to rock back and carve it behind point.
    21.2

Chegwyn to Ladagnous : [Boundary Hitter] Blasted! Immense fun! Full pitched around off stump and driven well to the left of mid off.

Suji to Ladagnous : [Boundary Hitter] Finely struck there from Ladagnous. That'll race down to the boundary past Chegwyn at long on.
    6.5
    4
Sewell to Ladagnous : [Boundary Hitter] Sewell has dropped short and Ladagnous dispatches the ball to the square leg boundary. Easy pickings that.

Sewell to Ladagnous : [Boundary Hitter] There are a lot of hookers in the world, but none have as much class as this lad! Four more.

You've gotta love it when he triggers 6 times in the first 25 overs.

    That is 100 runs for Ladagnous (101 runs, 98b, 16x4, 0x6) SR:103.06

    32.1

Kino to Ladagnous : Wow! Ladagnous picked the line early and just slogged that back past Kino.

we're only on 162. and he came in at number 4. and we've consistently lost wickets. wafg. this guy is my favourite player. ever (some of you may know him as locastro)

  14. Teacups CJ Evans

Chegwyn to Rolland : Poor ball and savagely cut away by Rolland. Kino gives chase but never had a hope of hauling that in.
    49.5

Chegwyn to Rolland : Rolland has hit that into the rafters. On leg stump and he picks it up and deposits it into row Z.

    T. McGraw 3-0-15-2, K. Chandrasekar 3 (4b), J. Cusack 3 (3b)
    End of over 21 (4 runs) - The Spindoctors(132-4). 146 runs required from 29 overs. RR 6.29 RRR 5.03

Like, I'm still the underdog (McGraw strikes again, woo) but still - loving how the lads are going so far. a quick wicket or two and we're in it. Although they'll probably strikefarmown me
