    I got some 33 year old balkan fella who I haven't used much. Pantelic or something. 85K he cost and he's been more than capable backup.

    Anyway, regarding my save. Was 1-0-12 at one stage and on 3 points after 13 games. The cunts just wouldn't play proper football but I've strung a run together and the fellas are doing well now. just topped man city 1-0 in my best result yet.

    Biggest problem I'm going to face is needing to have home-grown players in the squad.

    There's no British players in my starting XI, which is a bit of an issue.

    haha in managerial games i always aim for players under 25 and english. dont think ive ever signed a player over the age of 24. and automatically sell everyone over that age (unless i was with chelsea ... terry ;) )

    I'd holidayed two seasons in and taken over Swansea before this challenge was posted, and I didn't really want to go back and start again.

    So it's not a "true challenge" from me, but it fits in quite nicely here.

    Yeah I've had a poor start as well. It's the main problem with making lots of transfers on top of a side that already had Chico, Michu, De Guzman, Ki, Hernandez & Shechter incoming.

    I'm doing so at the moment. But he's been exceptional at CAM so far, and I only play with one striker anyway.

    Almost tempted to start this again. It's just been awful in every way really.

    - United have won almost all their games by 4 or 5 goals
    - Wigan are 3rd after 10 games
    - Arouna Kone is the league's top scorer with more than double the person in second
    - Leon Britton is out for months
    - Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham all lost in the League Cup third round (first round of Premier League entrants)
    - James McClean is actually really shit in-game
    - My team is poo.

    Stoke are unbeaten after 16 matches and top of the table with only 2 goals conceded. I think that's worse than Wigan being third. Jon Walters top goal scorer with Crouch top assister.
