No your missing the point. More catches won't be taken. Just a higher percentage. EG the old sim would have had 4 catches taken with 6 drops. 40% of ctaches taken. New sim 4 catches taken and 1 dropped. 80% taken.
So more catches won't be taken? But a higher percentage of catches will be taken? You know that doesn't make sense, right?

I read your post. You need to explain yourself a bit better. Saying "There will be less dropped catches, but not more catches taken" Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
6 catches and 4 drops = 60% 6 catches and 1 drop = 86% The percentage of catches taken will be higher but the amount of chances given will be lower.
So the actual catching of the ball is being changed, as well as how the batsman perform. If there are going to be less balls hit into the air, and a higher percentage of takings that's what should have been originally said. There were multiple ways we could have interpreted the initial statement.
The magic words that would have made this whole thing avoidable. Multi quoting not working for me...WTF.
