1:19.3 at Monaco atm. [Virgin] Could be 1:17ish if I wasn't a shit **** and crashed on the final turns
I did a few laps in a Red Bull after I semi-rage quit because my driving was horrid. Turns out it was the car being dire so I changed some settings, but fmd, the Red Bull is a billion times better than the Virgin. I didn't think I'd see such a massive leap.
I'm a fan in the sense I like to know who is winning and I try to catch it when it's on tv, etc, but I don't really go out of my way to watch it and I'm not what you'd call really knowledgeable with shit like car set ups beyond the basics. Which is why I'm pretty happy with this game as it's more sim-lite than pure simulation. I would like to see a bit more depth on race day, safety cars, engine problems, etc, stuff that adds a bit of drama to the race, but yeah. What was the question again?
Haven't missed watching a race 'live' (as soon as it as on tv here, anyway) since I fell asleep before Hockenhiem 02. Been watching since 92.
There's no demo for it.... Tough to say if it'd be good for a none fan. Someways it could be, but other ways it probably wouldn't be (like having to use two sets of dry tyres in races and shit).
I just did a 1:17.418 I'm no Schumacher, but I'm sure I could shave it down a bit more, pretty hard with no assists and a controller instead of a wheel.
What's people's fav / least favorite circuit? For me favourite is between Australia, Hockenheim or Korea, least favourite is Singapore, by a long way as well, such a horrible track to drive on
Suzuka would be up there for my favourites. Bahrain would probably be my least favourite I hate that new section they added for it, its just awkward to drive.
Yeah fair enough, I have so many near misses with the barriers in Singapore, and I always stuff up my braking points, it all looks the same to me And that chichane, wow, it really is crap haha
I love the chicane at Singapore. Least favourite track is easily Bahrain, that new section is balls. Most favourite Melbourne/Montreal, such awesome tracks.
