    Would definitely rather have Carrick there personally. Lampard's good, but I prefer Gerrard and I think Carrick works well with Gerrard.

    I know it's meant as a joke but you're probably right. Everyone knows that Ashley Cole will play in the World Cup despite Baines being better for ages now and he's 29, give one of the younger lads a go. Gibbs, Bertrand, Shaw.

    There's always a chance of injury and Baines as a replacement is as good as it gets but I wouldn't take him if he's not gonna start.
