Step 1: Update the database Step 2: Give the database to Athlai Step 3: I will restart this, either by giving a copy of the sim to some other keen bean or by simming this all myself. Step 4: Profit.
Nah it'd be too weird to finish this any way tbh. Update the database and teams would chnage quality suddenly way too much.. don't update the database and it'd just feel unrealistic having players perform how they would've two years ago. If this gets going again it'll be some sort of fresh start, and starting something else in the last thing on my mind at the moment; need to get CricSim going again and start the CPL Rugby auction comp.
I would be restarting it entirely via a fresh draft and season but would be offering the existing proper franchise owners the first chance to sign up to the new CPL.
I was actually having a dig at Cribb, but since you brought it up. Haha that is such a realistic scorecard judging by the capabilities of those players right now. Di Venuto is too old and fails, Alviro gets a start and then gets out lbw before reaching 50, Khawaja gets 30 odd, Voges continues his good form with a brisk 50 against slightly-below-Test-standard bowlers and Amla fucking dominates, while Athlai's attack of medium-fast swing bowlers strikes well with the new ball and then proves utterly toothless from then on.
Would be interesting to see how my pace attack would go considering they all haven't played a first class game in ~3 years.
