Yeah I know. Anyone who decides to do that is playing with fire though. CPL is more fun if you can cheer on players you like or at least know of, so you're not expected to meticulously pick the best available player every time. I think if someone picked a player that wasn't in the database at all or someone who was dead, though, that'd be taking the piss to a silly extent.
Like when Brad Hodge dominated the PPL despite not having played First-Class cricket for at least a few years.
