Would be gun as to have on the forums. If anybody hasn't seen this thing bascially another forum I visit occasionally (TAE - A few of us from here are on there) has a thing where for every post ya make you earn 50 bucks to spend in the Casino part where ya can play Blackjack, Carribean Stud Poker, Roulette, Virtual Pokies and you can play Texas Hold Em versus other forum members which would be awesome for our forums given how we used to have games/tournies on Pokerstars or whatever. Just wondering whether you would consider adding it to the site? They have it set up as an option in the Nav Bar (e.g where User CP, Register, FAQ etc etc are ) I'd be happy to ask one of the admins over there who I'm mates with about Where and How they got it and stuff if you wanted - he's a member on here as well "The Shank" plays for SWXI IIRC Thoughts?
They also have a top setup with VBookie which I'd be willing to run (with Ged if he wanted) if we got it on the Forums
vBookie is not compatible with new versions of vBulletin without significant code modification, and even then there are lots of bugs and errors associated with it. When they release a version compatible with what we have I'll install it, and not a moment sooner.
No Problem. That's fair enough. What are your thoughts with the Casino bizzo if I get some more info on it and it would be relatively painless and easy to set up?
yeah it does take strain on the server wouldn't really work here because of that but it is good, we are only running vbulliten 3.7 at TAE so that allows us to run vbookie no hassles compared to here which is 3.8.2
I checked out the Casino App and it's compatible with 3.82 but yeah if it does strain a server fair enough then
You could probably use Vbookie as a stand alone section. It'd be a bit of a pain, but you could just have a subforum where people can place bets via posts, and get payouts, balances etc. But pretty much, Benny should start a petition and send it to vbulletin to get them to hurry up and patch it
