Usually the tackle slides up off the sholder and onto the chin, fair enough, but that shot hit Young square in the face, you can't go calling "initial contact with shoulder" to excuse that hit. I don't think Merrin was trying to start a fight, he was there and trying to push Farrell out of the way (addmittedly dumb considering Young's state), it was Burgess who than ran in at Merrin and everyone followed.
With some of the decisions made this year, Ingis should be out for a couple of weeks probably. Young did get hit in a low tackle first but he had hardly dropped.
