North's a shoe in for me...

Probably why he's not starting this game

  2. Droos JP Rhodes

    This.

  3. Jazz NC Smith

Hopefully they are just fooling around with the centres. Roberts should be a certain starter. Not a huge fan of Tuilagi.

  4. Howe JHF Howe

Barritt and his head-down-and-run approach is probably one of England's big issues ATM. His defense is keeping him in the side.

Like Blunder said, no, this is a trial lineup. Warburton is captain and he isn't playing either.

Twelvetrees did well playing a similar way when he came in too. If you have the wide players to make the runs in the right channels then having to heavy hitters in midfield can work nicely imo.

It's not like Roberts distribution is awful either

  6. Howe JHF Howe

I'm not bagging Roberts or Twelvetrees tbf. I'm bagging Barritt.

  7. Baxter MJ Deane

Roberts has to be at 12 IMO

  8. Mike ML Martyn

Roberts 12, O'Driscoll at 13 to bring a bit of stability. Tuilagi off the bench after 50-60 minutes as an impact player.

  9. MrPrez CM Dyer

    Agree with Mike.

I'm just saying there's not much difference in play styles. I'm a big fan of Barritt's anyway

    Agreed

  11. Droos JP Rhodes

This is why he didn't really make it in SA, he is too one dimensional. His defense always kept him in contention.

    Bang on.

This phrase is a bit more literal in union/Tuilagi's case than in soccer.

    Not even vaguely close.

North is the first name on the test team sheet.

Roberts is nailed on for #12, IMHO. BoD is a career outside. Still genuinely think Manu's best chance of a start is a spot on the wing, but suspect he'll be on the bench for the tests.

  14. Baxter MJ Deane

North more nailed on than 1/2p?

  15. Baxter MJ Deane

    Or Warburton?

  16. The Boy Brumby ZJ Brumby

    Yeah.

Warburton will play, but it's far from certain whether he'll play 6 or 7.

In fact, on form, he shouldn't play at all. Tupiric and Croft should be the flankers.

Halfpenny will start, but North is the (forgive the expression) genuine X factor in the backs.

  17. Baxter MJ Deane

Oh, I agree about Warburton not deserving to start on form but as captain you'd imagine he'd be nailed on but I appreciate the fact that his position is pretty dependent on who the second best flanker is at the same time.

    Love me some Halfpenny though.

Did anyone read that article where Pulver labels Beale as a 'national treasure'? That's one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard. He's an overrated pisshead whom nobody likes.

Outrageous dive from Britz after twatting Farrell there.

Farrell shouldn't have reacted, but the hooker went down like a sack of crap. Must outweigh the Lions #10 by a good coupla stone.

Baa-Baas look up for it anyway. Which is good.

  20. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Ref did well there. Britz's heart must have sank when it replayed on the big screen
