Parker expected to be named captain today.

    :fap:

Hopefully it means Thaiday can be benched now!

He was a shit captain. Maybe it'll get him back to his 2011 form.

Was talking to my uncle a few days ago. His bus company handles a lot of the Broncos trips and has done for years. He was telling me as soon as Thaiday was given captaincy he turned from a decent guy into a complete fuckwit. Then again, he reckons Parker is a bit a cunt too but it makes so much more sense for him to be captain, not least because it'll probably help Sam get back to what he was a few years ago.

And he reckons Petero was one of the very few who never let ego sour him in any way. Always said g'day and would stop for a chat.

    Justin Hodges co-captain really?

Smart move by Thaiday, he's bought himself some time now.

Hodges has matured a lot. On the other hand he'll only play like 6 games though.

    In other more inspiring news

I'm no doctor, but I really don't think he'll be back in first grade.

I hope I'm wrong though, one dedicated cunt.

Hodges as co-captain is fine as long as they get his share of the job right. He'd probably be great at firing up the team and instilling belief; just absolutely crap at making decisions and talking to referees. Parker the opposite. I assume Parker will be the "official" captain at the toss due to that.

Yeah Hodges is fine as co-captain. He's a senior player and can lead by example. he's only half as big a dickhead as he used to be too.

    lol......the irony.

He played a number of games for Norths last year. With a bit more recovery time, I reckon he will.

So how is our top 25 shaping up for next year?

We seem to have a good squad, just not in the right areas though. The lack of top class 6, 7 and 9s will hurt us when it comes to matching it with the top sides.

Yeah we're definitely not premiership contenders but we're certainly a top 8 side IMO. We have a better roster than last year.

Just on Yow Yeh, I think he'll play FG again for sure. Whether he ever gets back to what he was pre-injury I'm not so sure. He didn't deserve to be playing Test footy but he had the potential to earn a Test spot. Whether that potential has deserted him or not we'll have to wait and see.

The side looks a lot better than last year's. Lots of depth in the backs and a bit more in the forwards with some very promising rookies coming through (Oates, Molo, Ofahengaue, Adams). Ben Barba, no more Wallace, hopefully better fitness with Alex Corvo joining etc. Hopefully Hunt turns out to be a good player too.

It's obviously not premiership material, but it's a big step in the right direction from the last 2 years.

Such misinformation. Didn't he play 20 minutes of a fogs game at second row and struggle severely

  17. Alec AD Funkotron

That was his first game back. He played a whole bunch in the centres afterwards.

    What's ironic about it?

    Wrong ...as usual.

He played a few games at QLD Cup level too, I remember seeing it on TV.
