I don't see how playing in the JB Cup for the Dragons feeder will further his career.

  2. Colesy BL Hornby

We arent in the JB Cup. He wouldn't make Shellharbour, our halves are our best two players.

Finch is a decent player if coached right. I can understand the blokes frustation at being thrown into hooker etc.

    Hornby
    Nightingale
    Boyd
    Cooper
    Sailor
    Soward
    Finch

Doesnt look too bad i 'spose.

  3. Wilson SB Wilson

Finch and Cronk leading the halves together would be an epic failure, IMO. Would clash so much. And to add Smith to that.

  4. Henry Marshall H Marshall

I never said it would be successful. Merely he doesn't have a huge amount of options...

Canberra maybe? Julian's comments will be interesting...

  5. Colesy BL Hornby

    Is Finch left footed?

  6. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Penrith have to sign him.

  7. Dave DR Armstrong

Agree with Corbin, Storm or Newcastle.

  8. Prince Charles P Charles

I'm keen to know why he has done this. Surely he would take up an offer in the UK rather than kick around in the NRL.

  9. Prince Charles P Charles

So the report now is that he was not happy that Daniel Anderson could not guarantee him a first grade spot each week so he wants out.

What a cat. He'll go to Super League for sure. Eels won't release him for a reason like that only to have to play against him at some point this season.

  10. Colesy BL Hornby

He isnt going to superleauge, hes been realesed and will be signing for an NRL club.

  11. Prince Charles P Charles

Most recent report I can find is...

Finch was contracted to the Eels for the rest of this year as
    well as 2010 and 2011.
Fitzgerald said the release would go ahead subject to further
    negotiations, including a financial settlement.
"We've heard rumours but it is with a Super League club and that
would be the best situation as far as we're concerned rather than
    another NRL club," Fitzgerald said.
"As far as I'm aware he was unhappy with the situation.
"Coach Daniel Anderson had spoken with him about his performance
last weekend and Daniel indicated that he hasn't got a guaranteed
    spot in first grade.
"Brett was looking for something more secure than that."

  12. Stormer BH Borisc

No chance he's going to the Storm, uh?

  13. Colesy BL Hornby

Nah, i think he'll go to Penrith

  14. Frizzed WC Welker

I doubt we would sign him.

    Dureau + Mullen > Finch

  15. Snake A Vago

Hahaha rather than fight for his position, he concedes defeat after 5 rounds and demands for a release. Just shows what type of character he has.

  16. Billy B Olsen

He's a decent half when he's switched on. I'd rather have him over someone like soward, rovelli, sammut etc.

  17. Prince Charles P Charles

I'd prefer Soward... but agree on the other two.

  18. Hybrid A Kolar

Are you seriously an Eels fan? What a ****ing embarassment.

Finch was one of our leaders and an excellent organiser. This is a HUGE loss. As a consequence, I will be placing money on Parra to win the wooden spoon.

  19. Billy B Olsen

Behind a good pack he goes alright imo. He's solid and dependable.

  20. Colesy BL Hornby

    Finch > Soward??

    ****ING LOL!!

Funniest thing i will ever read.
