Sorry, just been away for a couple of days. But yeah, that's the guy - he has a philosophy background, and I've heard good things about him. I'm in a similar position to you - I've heard him talk a little, but yet to read one of his books. Very interested in hearing his views on the philosophical implications of evolutionary theory...I'll be buying "Darwin's Dangerous Idea" sometime soon. I'll let you know the verdict.
Ron Howard is going to make Steven Kings Dark Tower series into a movie trilogy. Looking foward to this. http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/tv/4112436/Dark-Tower-gets-film-TV-treatment
I like true prison stories....and got a few cheap books from Ebay lately about the Russian Camps/Prisons/Gulags...call them what you will. A really good book called 7000 days in Siberia, about a bloke who spent nearly 20 years in the camps....got an original Dosteyevsky as well.....they make really good reading and amazing some of the shit that Good Old Joe Stalin did to the people.
After watching 'Tomorrow When The War Began', I am thinking of getting back into the Tomorrow series, and starting from scratch.
Same actually but i never read the whole series. I got to book 6 Night is for Hunting, or whatever its called, never read it though. 6&7 still have to read.
Anyone read The Running Man by Stephen King/Richard Bachman? Plot sounds pretty good, wouldn't mind giving it a read but can't find it as an eBook anywhere. Edit: Actually found a download for it, when I said 'anywhere' I meant 'on thepiratebay'. :o
The Dead House by Dostoyevsky. Stuck in a prison camp in Siberia....a good read so far. Just out curiosity and not to troll anyone, but have any of you fellas read Tony Blair's new book yet....a lot of it has been serialised in the papers, but I thought it might be worth a read.
