Skippos has said that he would get up to 4 people's opinions which is fair enough really.

 

I'd just like to make this clear, it's not an attack on his character, in the slightest. The issue for me is that it's either solely his opinion of a player, or the opinion if him and one other person, which isn't really fair. Best it was just left as it was tbh.

 

I'm assuming that's Teacups' opinions on who to sign, rather than his opinions on the database.

Eds either uses
- The 2011/12 database
- Someone from fmbase's database
- The above but with his own corrections to it.

If it's A or B, Eds still knows exactly who is rated well and who plays well.

If it is C, Eds still knows the same. He's at an equal advantage each way. The fact that he's edited it means sfa as the end result is he knows the ratings, the same as every other possible outcome. The positive in him editing it is that it's more realistic, so we might be rewarded for actually drafting fucking good players as opposed to fucking good players only on FM.

If he used the '11/12 db then yehaa, everyone who has FM knows it. What it means is half of us are at an advantage and half are not. The half that are will know the intricacies and draft based on them. This way, we draft based on the now and nobody's at an advantage.

Oh. Well in which case, it could easily be his sole opinion. And again, that's not a character attack, the changes he's made can be his honest opinion of a player, but it's subjective and will change from person to person.

 

So what, you propose we use the '11/12 database. Essentially do a whole auction based on the season that started 18 fucking months ago? Are you fucking mental?

Or, do you propose he uses a third party database recently updated?

I'm sure that was done by one person too with all their fucking biases.

I'd much prefer Eds' biases than a random bloke's.

 

Better half of us have an advantage than one person/team. At least that way the spot for number one can be contested between more than one team. I'm not saying he'll definitely be the out and out winner, but there is no doubt that he has more of an advantage.

 

So, in short, you're trusting some random stranger over Eds. Gw etc.

In informing people the db we're using, those who have FM are automatically far better off than those who aren't. This way, they're not.

 

If that means that you don't have one person with a fucking advantage, then yes.

 

So what, allow those with FM13 an advantage? This way everyone bar eds is on a level playing field and I'd much prefer to trust his honour and have everyone equal than allow 10 blokes a massive advantage.

 

But if he's using the random bloke's database, he's still got a fucking advantage AS HE'S SEEN THE FUCKING RATINGS.
