Yeah, I think this was a pretty exceptional set of circumstances. Ames isn't a First Class regular for the Lions - he plays when there are injuries, and often out of position even in that case. He's an emerging cricketer looking to break through the Second XI system and with the Lions not being around next season, there is precious little point in staying in a club system that means nothing - he was a player for the future at a club that did not have one. I don't expect the Lions to start releasing all their players; I see this as a one-off based on the above.
Doesn't matter much but most comps have a no release policy after half way through the season for a reason. Oh & BTW Incey will be leaving the Lions early too.
Rob can I join the Raverns on a half a season cameo? Imagine all the fun we can get up to, the sleepovers, the gossip.
Hopefully Ravens can make him into a top FC player. His OD performances are good. Would be nice to have him challenging in the 4D format as well.
That is the plan . Have been really happy with my OD performances so far. I have been really poor in BS, and only got 1 50 . But hopefully my form will pick up after a few good knocks for the Academy.
After playing for the Lions in the BS in Round 8, can he play for the Test Eagles in the HP in the same round?
Bleh, too many ****ing acronyms. Say Horrigan FFS. Yeah, he can.. but it's a semi-final, so we've decided it'd be unfair to rush him in.
What about the policy of picking your best possible XI in BS etc? Joke about Eds being shit, not biting at Cribb.
Christ Marcuss, you average ~ 40 in FC cricket...I always thought your batting was about as good as mine...
Haha, probably because when we were both at the Cyclones your batting was > than mine. It's weird, I thought I had a disappointing Academy series but in reality I was 1 run from averaging 40. It's because of the illusion only hitting 2 fities created I think.
