Yeah, saw this in the other thread. Wouldn't at all be surprised it's all just a set up and some NSW chick put a QLD jersey on and did it.

Yeah, well worth paying $120 for a jersey and then embarrassing yourself....

Whilst both have their preferred side, QLD plays it's best footy when the two are in a traditional set-up with Thurston at halfback and Lockyer at stand-off or vice versa. And just recently we've seen Slater move into first receiver.

QLD's most constructive plays and tries this year were from a traditional set-up of hooker-halfback-5/8th-receiver.

Yes, the side often plays left/right split halves but to say we don't have a halfback or a five-eighth is just not true from my observations.

The Magnificent Seven is the moniker doing the rounds. Has a nice ring to it.

Is there anybody here who thinks Cronk should not be the new QLD half to play in Lockyer's stead?

    Got to be Cronk

The way that Lockyer and Thurston switch between first and second receiver just shows that we don't have a classic halfback and 5/8th. Lockyer gets the ball at first receiver on the right half of the field (whichever way the ball goes) and Thurston gets it at first receiver when on the left. Sure you see Slater and co do their own thing at times, but both halves change their role depending what side of the field we are on.
