    Just over 2 weeks away. Not much talk of it thus far so in keeping with EWS's suggestion of starting more threads, earlier, to promote discussion I thought I'd get this one underway.

    May 2nd. Sydney Football Stadium 7.30pm.

    It's really hard not picking Merrin because my god he's been playing the house down. Fifita has also been very good in an otherwise ordinary Sharks pack but he's too loose for my liking.

    Don't understand having both Parker and Watmough on the bench really unless you're planning to use him as primarily as a second rower?

    And I'll never understand all the people wanting to drop Cronk. His rep performances certainly don't warrant it, never mind the established combination he has with the rest of the side.

    While Queensland can't really afford to do it because of their lack of outside back depth, Slater should absolutely be dropped from this side.

    Yep, I actually think he's deteriorated as a player over the last 12 months.

    His fuck ups a the back are becoming more and more of a regular occurrence.

    If they move Boyd or Inglis they have to find another centre or winger, which they don't really have, and despite Slater's decline I'd still take him over Barba or Milford at the back in Origin, especially since Barba has been playing like arse.
