Didn't mind this game, an alright way to start of the season. The new channel 9 scoreboard doesn't agree with me though, had trouble reading how long to go in the game etc. I'll get used to it though. SBW getting smashed by Burgess made it so much better. Already sick of the cunt. I couldn't believe it, all those times I've yelled at the TV at him for not passing the ball and in his first game for the Roosters he passes it... and it was fucking shit. Can't believe I rated him so highly tbh. Has been overrated as fuck the last season or so. AWTA, was the stupidest idea I've seen. I suppose they have to give those things a try but it was shit. Would've preferred to hear someone like Phil Gould try to explain what he thinks was going through SBW's head.
Bunnies were lucky that Roosters made so many errors and gave away so many penalties that they couldn't amount any pressure. Likely to be early season cobwebs, but Souffs really should have put more points on, not sold on Reynolds at all tbh. To me he is a shitter Jason Taylor, where he doesn't offer much beyond his boot. Souffs forwards could do no wrong last night, so of course he looked comfortable, though he hardly took advantage of it. Roosters were woeful, deadset which did make Souffs look better than they were, I could only put 1 try, maybe 2 down to exceptional play, the rest were luck or feeble defence. Not to mention the fact they have Inglis. Saved their asses about 3 or 4 times and was great in their back line. He is usually sluggish after the offseason, teams are gonna be shitting themselves.
Can anyone tell me what was up with the Roosters' defensive line last night? There were extended periods where Friend and Maloney were next to each other in the line. Sure Friend can tackle, but he usually goes low while a big man takes the torso. Both he and Maloney were going high on cunts and were unable to secure the ball carying arm or they just got bumped off.
I watched the voice over stuff. It was ok when they did the first one but yeah once he actually got on the field it was total overkill.
No it wasn't, this isn't a Jerry Bruckheimer production of 'Challenge Me, the SBW story' it's the NRL for fucks sake.
Meh it went for like 20 seconds. Anyway what did SBW say in the halftime interview? They were going on about how revealing it will be.
I'd love to tell you, but I muted the cunt, I'd already heard his voice more than enough by that point.
He pretty much said that he didn't even give a fart about the roosters because not giving a shit didn't get his point across.
Also impressed that Reynolds bounced back following the kick out on the full straight up last night. Went Try, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat, Try from 5 last tackle kicking options to halftime and that was where we won the game. I agree his passing is dodgy at times but he's a young half and his passing game will refine. I was happy with his running game/delaying of grubbers to change angles but I would have liked to see a bit more of him attacking the line. That said he reminds me more and more of Craig Field from his bunnies days but with an immense team to support him. I also think that Reynolds is about on par quality wise as Field ended up. Solid Fger but not really rep quality.
his attacking kicking was second to none though. really put the rorters under pressure with all those repeat sets.
They only had 3 drop outs and one of them could have easily been left alone by Minichiello and it would have gone dead. The reason they kept getting repeat sets were because we kept fucking giving them penalties.
It's means the Rabbits were a dominant force and frustrated the roosters, turning them into the cowering mess of a team we saw last night.
When the cunt said some shit about "nobody has walked my walk", sounded just like that fuckwit Mundine.
There was one where he was hard done by though IMO. He was taken without the ball and touched it on the way down.
