    Lachlan Burr just never kicked on, looked promising at the Titans but he's 28 I can't see him an NRL picking him in their top 25. Will go back to England I'd imagine.

    We have all heard it will be less than 30 next year - but first I have heard it will be 25.

    We have a good winning record when Sheck is injured so we will be ok.

    Effectively as time has passed teams have figured out that if you stop Sheck you stop the warriors offence. For the past 12 months instead of triple teaming him, teams have been sending in at least 5 guys to smother him on the kick chase, and in the defensive line on mid set tackles they often aiming up with four tacklers on him. Teams have shut him down. We have largely been using him for his outstanding defence in the last ten games. He has only two tries this year and a paltry one try assist. It isn't his fault. He would be better off back at the roosters where teams can't afford to quadruple team any one single guy due to the fact Roosters have threats across the park.
    Against Warriors though you can over invest against Sheck from defensive coverage perspective without repercussions.

    So effectively we are already in a world where we don't get much help from Roger, at least offensively anyway.

    I think your first post was after a legit penalty (a player taken out off the ball?) funnily enough.

    Sivo staying down after the 'crusher' tackles is getting rough though. Very glad he wasn't given the penalty for the second one. Brown's I think might be worth the benefit of the doubt, the Storm player was twisting him sideways as he dropped down on his neck. How Moses didn't get a penalty after his somersault from the late/high hit after the kick I don't know :laugh:

    Brown seems like way too much of a 30 year old boomer to actually stay down on instruction; coach can't even get him to stop deliberately hitting people high. I reckon he was just hurt tbh.

    Sivo, Fergo, Lane, Gutho and Moses are all definitely professional milkmen though.

    Broncos somehow need to get some experienced players next year. Just too many rookies who have no idea how to handle the huge amount of shit that's been happening right now, all the losses and all the injuries and what not. Some rookies seem to be taking it well, like Dearden, Carrigan and Farnworth especially, who all probably had their best games against the Dragons, but who knows if it'll get too much for them at some point too. Hopefully not, as they all have potential to be excellent players. Some players like Oates and Ofahengaue just completely went to shit for some reason. Maybe they are/were playing injured, or maybe they just can't handle the pace. Pangai and Milford seem to play 1 good game for every 6 or 7 mediocre or shit ones.
    Obviously need a coaching change too, Seibold doesn't seem to have a grasp of the basics. Dunno how Walters would go, but I'd rather take a gamble on him than Green. Someone who either understands defence or brings an assistant coach who does would be nice too.

    I mean I think the media has been very patient and forgiving to Broncos.

    Question for you as a tigers man.

    Why did your club agree to take Harry Grant on a one year loan from Storm. Shouldn't you be trying to put jigsaw puzzle pieces in place towards a long term club foundation and spine. Why have a player for a year instead of developing a young talent or trading/acquiring a young talent who will stick around.

    What was the strategic thinking with acquiring Grant given those concerns I mention?

    There just isn't much on the market. Oates/Offa have been OK, Oates just needs to go back onto the wing and left there, no more half games in the forwards, he is still our best winger. Offa has always been a solid bench forward, and that hasn't changed.

    TPJ has been one of our best this year, with a few standout games. He hasn't had any shockers yet. Milford has yet to produce a good 80mins, he is pretty much cooked as a player, IMO.

    Brisbane need a good winger or centre and a gun fullback. Looking at who is off contact this year, or who are going into the final year of their contract, Brisbane should target 1-2 of Oldfield, Rapana, Brian Kelly, Steven Crighton, Naden, Whare, Gagai and Johnston.

    No real fullbacks on the market, but I'd be hitting up Manu to try get him out of Rorters if he wants to be a fullback.
