Ok well at least that's an explanation.

After having seen the fellow - he will not lead you to glory against the top 3 sides in the world but he would dominate with a capital D against sides ranked 6-10 in the world because he is a very big boy. Being big doesn't matter to DeVilliers and Conrad Smith though who are two of the better tacklers in the history of their countries.

I gave up on him when he had the ball from 3rd phase ball on the ABS 40 and another player cut back inside him and yelled for the ball on the inside and he didn't pop pass it. Instead he took the tackle and the movement died.

Point was made on another web site (CW) that England aren't taking these games too seriously and are just using them to try different combinations. Probably a good idea if true. If England had've won this series it just would have fired us up. We tend to do crap in World cups when we have conquered all before us leading up to the tournament.

They were going to have to try new things because of the prem final being too close and having to send two different squads. From there, and having such an inexperienced squad, being able to get good performances from players in debatable positions was a good aim. The focus has very much been on the next world cup for the last two years.

That said I don't think that's mutually exclusive with taking the games seriously. We should be disappointed that we couldn't make the best of a chance to win last week.

When was the last time there was no scores in the first 50 minutes of an International Test?

Couple of questions about the England game, because I didn't get to see it.

    1. Was it less close than the scoreline indicates?

    2. Was Manu any good on the wing?

    3. Were the centres gash?

    1) Yes. Game was effectively dead after 60 minutes. NZ blew us away after HT. Couple of late consolations padded the score. Clock was on 81 mins when Ash went over in his own cuntish idiom.

    2) No. Looked a bit lost, really. Lost an important foot race with Ben Smith when a winger with more gas might've made it.

    3) 36 was horrible. Hands over the eyes, swallowing hemlock as penance horrible. Burrell carried well early doors, but faded as the game went on.

I was impressed by Twelvetrees' creativity, namely his way of finding ever more creative ways to miss tackles on Nonu

Q: Who would win in match between England and South Africa right now?

A: England would, easily. Most of the South Africans are probably drunk by now

I rate Lancaster highly, but I really have I just got ID'd buying beer. I am so youthful xno idea why he'd play Manu on the wing. He's our best player with ball in hand, we need him in the thick of the action, not out on the touch line. Get him back in the centres, running down Cruden's channel.

The rugby and football selections mirroring each other for England. Take a decent team, remove a good player and re-insert the player in an unfamiliar position which doesn't really suit them.

It's like painting a watercolour of some nice hills and then applying a smudge of 'shit brown' just above the sky-line.

Hannah Gordon would still rate the painting.
