    They've also stuck Jan Kirchhoff on loan at Schalke for 18 months.

    Haha, yeah it was great. Only trouble is there are only a few games a year where he's needed in that role. Rest of the time the extra offensive qualities of Gotze, Muller and Kroos will get them the nod.

    Bayern for some reason have also used Lahm at CM this season... because they are desperately short in that area. According to on eof the morning papers Guardiola has hinted Kroos could be sold.


    I still think a defensive midfielder is more pressing than a more attacking minded one. The last few games have a highlighted a shocking inability to win the ball back in midfield and the gaps opening up between midfield and defence are giving opposition ams so much space

    The idea of us being linked to Dante scare me, whenever I've seen him play he's looked an accident waiting to happen.

    And yeah, Mata took 8 because he's more of a no 8 player than 7, that 7 is sitting empty for a while. Unless we get another washed up has been in the Owen mould...

    Nah, Reus sneezed yesterday and didn't put his hands over his face to cover it, 2 week fine and transfer request in.

    Reports in the sun claiming the class of 92 considering a £multi billion takeover bid. Not sure how I feel about that... would surely mean our transfer budgets could only come from profits (not that's necessarily a bad model) which might limit our power to pull off big buys?

    Also I like the Glazers as owners - they don't interfere, and although they initially saddled us with substantial debts they are now completely sustainable and we're in a very strong position financially.

    No, there was definitely an article about them taking over United, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't more than just speculation. I guess it could be viable if they had the backing from the Arabs.

    Nah. I heard that too. Changing the name to "Salford '92". Worst name ever if you ask me.

    Read into it a bit more and weeman's right - Qatari royals using the class of 92 to front a bid for the club. All rumour at this stage but I swear there were rumours a little while back some big middle east sugar daddy wanted to buy but the Glazers told them where to go.

    Salford '92 is an awful name tbh. They should take over the club, and it'll be good for them - but they will make their mark on the pitch, they needn't change the name.
