    I'd rather Glenn as captain tbh, or at least have co captains so they can bench Sam at a whim without any drama. Glenn can play long minutes and doesn't become a pile of shit by the back third of each half.

    Corey Parker should be captain without a doubt. He puts in 100% every match and has been our best player over the past two seasons. Alex Glenn VC.

    Yeah, very true.
    I guess Corey Parker would be the best option for captain. He's definitely more consistent than Hodges, I reckon. But I still think Hodges is a gun.

    Hodges is a terrible candidate for captain IMO. Way too much of a shit-stirrer. Wouldn't go over well with the officials. Not to mention what others have; he's misses a lot of footy through injury. I'd make Parker captain. He inspires more than Thaiday IMO.

    Glenn was my choice when it seemed a 3 way race between Thaiday, Parker and Glenn.

    This. You don't need the (C) beside your name to lead though. Parker, IMO, has been our leader all year....he just doesn't talk to the officials. I seriously think a co-captain/multi captain system would work.

    That's interesting logic. See how you go with that. It's not an issue to be discussed with such frivolity. You may not rate Thaiday but the guy is a lifelong Bronco with 10 years to his name. You don't discard players like that on a whim.

    Well he has 10 years to his name and a lifelong Bronco. If he is a true team player, like the captain should be, he should handle losing the captaincy well. Corey Parker handled not getting the captaincy way better than he should have.
    I'd be more than happy to see the back of Thaiday

    Whose to say he is a true team player? You can't make these decisions purely on wised-up pseudo-profundity like "Oh well, a true captain would take it in stride." You have to be a little more pragmatic than that surely. Do you genuinely think it would be harmful to him and perhaps the team? Or are you like several other Broncos fans are don't really give a shit? Or, further than that, do you think it might increase the chances of shuffling him out and therefore actually want it to happen?

    I'm going to go with number 3.

    It's a farce that Parker wasn't made captain in the first place. Although I have heard of examples where coaches try to use the captaincy as a tool to get the best from a player rather than necessarily giving it to the best leader.
