So much epic interest in this game being tonight tends to suggest I should move it up. I'm not busy so fair enough. Just wanted to spread them out really.

Onwards we march to a top-of-the-table clash between New Zealand and Britain. The bookies have this match as a humdinger, and they appear to be correct.

Britain, to this point, has been a team unreliant on particular stars to win matches. They have just one top 20 provincial batsman in Sam Verigotta, and just two in the bowling top 20 (Jake Howe and Jonny Ridd). However, they have the players who can all contribute in some way to the cause, which puts them in a good position.

New Zealand is packed with stars, but a fair few have underperformed so far. They'll be looking for improved performances from Petrucci and Bakkum at the top of the order, as well as from number 3 Morgan. If these players can find form against the Brits, it'd put their side in a good position to take this match.

    Players to watch:
Britain: Jake Howe has been their spearhead so far this season, and he'll be keen to rip through the star-studded NZ batting line-up.

New Zealand: Heath Davis will be looking to rip through a fragile British middle-order.

    Our prediction:
New Zealand to come out comfortable winners, by 60 runs or 5 wickets.

Deane is 5th batsman and 15th bowler...

    Not in the provincial rankings.

What are they? I find it really hard to believe he's not better in rep.

Rankings is the wrong word but it shows who's done well this season in provincials.

Lack of mentioning my batting efforts

I suppose. Though Deane still averages well over 50 this season, we've just been playing so well that he's had a lot fewer innings than someone like Harding (340 runs at 38).
