Without seeming arrogant I'm a pretty smart guy just like yourself I expect as History is no walk in the park in terms of degree courses.
So yeah, it is pretty difficult to get onto a Law course and you do need to do pretty excellently in all of your exams etc.

In terms of my favourite bits of History, the main things we studied at school is kind of 20th Century Europe. Although I tend to just do a lot of reading in my own time, I mean I've got books regarding the Stone Age, Aztecs, Romans, Middle Ages, Saxons, Stuarts, Greeks. I'll just read about it all. No specialist subject as such

We have 12 years of education spread across Infant, Primary and Secondary school. At the end of Secondary school you can either go onto College, get an Apprenticeship or go into the work force. After 2 years at College you go onto University.
I love History and always have done. I just find it ridiculously interesting the majority of people at my school just say it's boring because it's academic but I'm taking it as one of my courses at College and have left myself open to possibly taking it forward to Uni.
My ultimate ambition is to become a Lawyer / Barrister so History will be pretty useful for that due to the kind of course over here with quite long essays etc and source evaluation.

So you're looking at taking a break in the near future for3/4 months and then coming back once your exams are out of the way? Good on you. I tried to stear clear during my exam period but ended up checking in etc far too often.
What would you like to do at Uni?
I'm 16 and only just finished High School etc so don't start College until September, Uni seems such a long way away when in reality it probably isn't!

I'll stick with Reina... it was originally meant to be a 2 for 2 trade with both happening at the same time but I managed to convince him that Cech and Reina were so similar that we should do the first half of the trade involving Ballack and Keane and discuss the other half later.

Yeah, I just kind of open threads and face palm, which is why I don't post much. You're constantly fighting a losing battle with people unable to even contemplate there being another side to the coin.

For my money Cech and Reina are pretty even but most tend to have Cech ahead, not so much lately but around 07/08. I might take him up on it but I just don't like Cech whereas I don't mind Reina as I feel he's a little under-rated by the majority.

Well there aren't lots of us who follow it.
There are even fewer who actually know anything about it.
Then there are only a handful of people who aren't Liverpoo or Man Poo fans.
