The wait could be a long one. So I've got some ideas. Tell me which one you like most or if you like them all. a) Seasonal Rugby Tour b) CricSim clubs fielding SR teams c) Another 1vs1 tournament d) We use Season 2 (or possibly 3) Squads and I simulate the season completely non-live where each team plays each other like 8 times Which one and why?
Not C - Already been done Not D - Not sure how much people(forwards) would enjoy it. Possibly not B - What would the squads look like? A
Why the delay? Waiting on the new sim? Why not just push the new sim back to Season 4 and run Season 3 with the old sim?
Yeh, waiting on the new sim. And yes, considering it takes around an hour and twenty minutes to sim a live game I just can't find the time to sim regularly with the old sim.
Could do a mix 8 cricsim teams. Split into pairs and have a little tournament, everyone plays everyone twice?
... but wouldn't he have to use the old sim for the above options anyway? If he hates the old sim and just wants to wait for the new one, I get that. But refusing to use the old sim and then using the old sim anyway for a competition that'd get comparatively minimum interest for the same effort doesn't make much sense to me. My vote goes to a D with a twist - that being making it not only Season 3 squads but Season 3 itself. Sure the forwards won't like it with the games being non-live, but they won't like anything else he sims with the old sim either, and they won't like having literally nothing simmed. Just chugging along with the current sim and having no live games until the new one is ready >>> not simming at all or simming something that won't get much interest with the same sim.
I'd have to pick them carefully. If we combined two clubs, some may still not have enough for a full team. I'll look into it this weekend.
Its not like there's no simming at all though. Theres stil lenough going on around here to keep people on the site. And the little things just add a bit of interest to Sr to stop it dying. The problem with running S3 is that its actually official, and on a sim thats pretty dire.
