No point even mentioning Popovic as he is our 3rd seamer. Ava averages about what, 3 more than Benny? And Benny is superior in the field and can bowl. Pretty simple decision, IMO.
Ava averages 5 more than Benny. You are playing Benny as a batsman. If you awould pick someone who clearly isn't as strong a batsman as another player for the fact he offers a 6th bowling option then your selection policy is very flawed.
Yeah, and they are going to be bowling for sooo long that the sixth bowler will have to come on and bowl 30 overs an innings.
We are playing Benny as a batting all-rounder. Benny is more valuable. Just need the cover. Better to be safe than sorry. That will be because all the teams are just gonna try and block out the last 3 days after we make 900.
You might aswell put crowley, Spinks and Robinson in the team and drop some batsman. Better to be safe then sorry.
He may be an allrounder but just face it you are not going to use him as one really unless he bowls ahead of Hallett.
